GTLO hits myspace.com... finally! The Future!
Get the Led Out is officially on myspace.com now. We were told eons ago to do it by good friends
like Erik Rex and Brian McTear, but we resisted. We needed to prove that we could "make it" with out ever being on myspace.com, and we did! Sold out shows, radio, television and newspaper interviews all without ever being on myspace.com. I guess it was the old school mentality that we had that prevented us from doing it. We still have that to a degree. I still want to put out vinyl records. I love analog tape. We use tube amps and classic guitars. This is why we do what we do. A lot of folks have a nostalgic longing for times that were more innocent, technologically more naive, and more hopeful for a brighter tomorrow. I am one of them. But I also embrace change. I use digital technology every day, have a cell phone, do online banking, use sampling keyboards, and so on. In ten years we will most likely be saying, do you remember hard drives? They are so outdated and primitive. And if the future holds the ultimate promise then we will be saying things like, remember automobiles? They are so outdated and primitive. That might be a little further off though. The idea of a programmable
travel pod that you punch your coordinates in and travel via air, water, or land, is not that far fetched. As witnessed time and time again, science fiction tends to become science fact. Also as I have many times personally experienced, if you think of something and want to make it happen, you usually can through hard work, perseverance, diligence, and a little luck thrown in for good measure. That's how we "made it" without myspace.com. The site is cool, check it out at www.myspace.com/theamericanledzeppelin
So that's it. The Sellersville Theatre is sold out and I can't wait for the show, All the Best, PH
